Visa application process

These past two weeks have been a mess with my whole application process for my visa, first my appointment on the 18th of may was rejected because they told us we didn't have an appointment and then when they gave us a different time on a different day the guy who was taking my visa in was not able to make it in and so he had to send it back to the study abroad center and now I am going to have to take it myself.. Ughhhh. The meeting deciding the fate of my visa will only last 10 minutes and we have to go all the way to Chicago and take it there in person because they do not accept mail ins. My mom has offered to take me so I don't have to ride a bus and then have to worry about getting from the bus station to the consulate general of Spain's building and back to the bus station. I'm going to be so glad when we finally have this all taken care of. And then i won't have to worry about my visa anymore.

The girls and I are starting to converse a little on Facebook about flight information and what airport to go out of and when we want to leave. I'm actually excited and I hope that the flight time will give us time to get to know each other a little better. One of the girls is my roommate and I'm very excited about that. She seems to be a very nice girl in the long run and I hope we get along very well. I wouldn't mind making a few more friends while on this trip for study abroad.

I am currently applying for a second job and hoping that I will get one soon. It can take a long time. I did find one job that goes from 3:45am-8:30am and would be right before I work at the MU so I could probably adjust my sleep schedule to work for it for now. It pays $12.00 and hour so it wouldn't be bad pay and I really just need another job right now to help build money up for Spain. I'm also applying at a subway near where I live and hope that I have a good chance of getting a job there because I have worked at a subway before.

I've got a lot going on right now and I'm starting to try and get myself to prepare for missing Obie, my cats, and my family. I am going to miss my cats sooo much!! I already miss them a lot when I am at school!! I know they will be taken care of excellently by Obie I am just going to miss them. My favorite thing about a cat is how they purr. The purring helps me be calm and feel relaxed.

Ok well so much for now! I'll be sure to post after I know the result on my visa! My appointment is on June 27th so it's a few weeks away but it is going to happen!! :)

- Love Christine! :)
